Hot to Cold aims to investigate the way mankind inhabits the planet, through sixty case studies that are situated in extreme climate conditions.
While investigating the relationship between architecture and climate, the book intends to challenge and reformulate extreme climate conditions into both economically and environmentally beneficial hospitability solutions. Architecture is the art and science of accommodating the lives we want to live. Our cities and buildings aren’t givens; they are the way they are because that is as far as we have gotten to date.
