    Introduction

    Creative Direction with AI

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a formidable force in the ever-evolving realm of architecture and design. Yet, it’s a double-edged sword, offering efficiency while stoking concerns about its impact on creative expression. Nevertheless, there’s reason for optimism: AI has the potential to amplify designers’ innate creativity by handling labor-like tasks, freeing them to focus on what truly matters. This workshop is intended for forward-thinking designers eager to refine their skills and establish a unique identity in the industry. Today, being an architect requires more than just problem-solving – it necessitates taking on the role of an artist and visionary. This involves deeply understanding one’s distinct perspective and using AI tools to add personal flair to projects, making a meaningful impact on the world. AI tools act as a virtual playground, allowing designers to experiment with and develop their language. This workshop serves as a gateway to this field, where participants can explore the transformative potential of AI in shaping their design approaches.

    The Scope of the Workshop:

This workshop is designed to cater to individuals with varying experience in design, including those new to using AI tools. The initial session will focus on mastering technical tools, navigating Midjourney workflows, and honing curation techniques. Subsequently, the focus will shift towards fostering creative direction, harnessing the narrative power in concept design, and mastering advanced prompt development techniques applicable to architecture, interiors, landscape, object, and fashion design. By the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired the skills to effectively develop and articulate their unique design language and approach using AI tools. Throughout the sessions, assignments will be provided to facilitate the application of learned techniques into participants’ projects, ensuring practical and tangible skill development.
