Roth Architecture, a renowned design studio based in Tulum, has unveiled its latest innovation: the EK car. This car has impressive new looks and advanced features that have never been seen before in mass-produced automobiles. The design of the EK car witnesses Roth Architecture’s commitment to environmentalism. Designed to mitigate the problem of fossil fuel transportation, the EK car has a specific goal of responding to the earth’s current needs.

The electric vehicle, with its natural materialistic forms and sleek curves, complements the design of Azulik and its various structures, offering a harmonious and integrated design aesthetic.

Features and Performance of EK car

From 13 feet in length to 7 feet in width, the EK car accommodates three individuals with a maximum speed of 36 kilometers per hour. Steel grey automotive paint covers the fiberglass body while it is mounted over a three-wheel frame and has a modern feel. The EK car has a very interesting seating arrangement in the interior – it resembles a bed.

The rear benches and the seat for the driver, including the small backrest of, are trimmed with the use of cream waterproof fabric. The interior design is complemented by the zapote wood design on the insignia and the main cup holder, giving it that artisanal and proximate feel.

The EK car is very suitable for use on winding roads, mostly in the upcoming residential buildings by Azulik that consist of luxurious villas with 84 apartment buildings consisting of four towers. Thus, solving the issues of Tulum roads and further improving mobility with the help of the proposed EK car will minimize noise pollution and create a comfortable, quiet environment.

The interior design concept aims to reminisce about the artificial and natural division, which is called the “forest plate” by Roth Architecture; in the same way, the “cloud eye” concept tries to connect the internal and outer shells inspired by nature.

As stated by Roth Architecture, “Our vehicle design blends comfort and sustainability and offers a tranquil journey amidst nature”. This philosophy is manifested in the EK car, a transport that serves the new Azulik infrastructure and its well-heeled occupants effectively and with a pleasing design. Although the EK exists today as a prototype only, the concept of ‘green’ cars offers a perspective for developing sustainable transport systems within luxurious apartment complexes.
