This workshop focuses on teaching participants various workflows for designing geometrically functional facades within building code constraints, emphasizing the use of parametric modeling.

Designed by Sarah Frister and Paul Streicher, Dessert Lights is a product of STRUCT3D, a company established in 2023 that produces 3D-printed design products under its own name.

We’ll explore Blender’s subdivision modeling and parametric tools like Modifiers and Geometry Nodes, enabling fast procedural model generation. Blender’s parametric capabilities, including Geometry Nodes, offer Grasshopper and Houdini-like features, expanding design possibilities.

Biomorphic Topologies 2.0 workshop focuses on crafting organic forms inspired by natural morphologies and structures. Using Cinema 4D and Corona Renderer, participants will bring their designs to life with realism and depth.

The Environment-Reactive Computation (with Ladybug) workshop was led by Jacob Lehrer, a Leed-certified Architect focused on cutting-edge computational technologies committed to sustainable design.

In this workshop we will focus on mastering technical tools, navigating Midjourney workflows, and honing curation techniques. Subsequently, the focus will shift towards fostering creative direction, harnessing the narrative power in concept design.

Synthetic Vernacular using Artificial Intelligence 2.0 guides designers in utilizing tools such as Stability AI’s Stable Cascade and Midjourney image generator, fostering hands-on proficiency.
